Day 1: Nairobi
Jambo! Welcome to Africa! You will be met on arrival by our Tour Leader who will escort you to one of the best hotels.
Tonight’s dinner is at the famous Carnivore Restaurant.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve
This morning travel north crossing the Equator into Samburu National Reserve. Lunch at the lodge is followed by a late afternoon game drive.

Samburu is famous for the rare and unusual reticulated giraffe, long-necked gerenuk, Colobus monkey, beisa oryx and Grevy’s zebra.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve

An early morning game drive is followed by breakfast at the lodge. After lunch, a second game drive allows you to further explore Samburu and its rare animal species.

Day 4: Aberdares Forest

This morning travel to the Outspan Hotel. After lunch, travel to the famous Treetops, a tree lodge nesteled high up in the Aberdares Forest. The game can be viewed from the many balconies overlooking the waterhole and salt lick. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru

This morning drive through Aberdare Mountain range and the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, once described by American ornithologist Roger Tory-Peterson as “the most fabulous bird spectacle in the world”. The park and its lake play host to Lesser Flamingos and species of animals, including lion, leopard, rhino and hyena. Enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive along the lakeshore.

Day 6/7: Masai Mara National Reserve

Today drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most popular game park and home to the “Big Five”: buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard and rhino. Vast herds of wildebeast and zebra wander the Mara grasslands, their numbers increasing during the annual migration. Arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. The following day you have the opportunity to enjoy an early morning balloon safari (extra cost) over the Mara Plains, which includes a bubbly champagne breakfast upon landing. Or take an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Enjoy the remainder of the afternoon game drive.

Day 8: Nairobi

After breakfast drive to Nairobi for lunch and some last minute shopping and a chance to relax at your hotel. After an early dinner at the hotel, you are transferred to the airport for your overnight flight.
